Have You Tried Microblading?

Why I love Microblading

Microblading, or eyebrow embroidery, is a process that involves injecting pigmentation into the skin to create the appearance of naturally fuller eyebrows. This is done by diligently drawing individual strokes of pigment along the brow hairline. The process mimics natural hair growth.
How does this semi-permanent procedure differ from traditional tattooing? Simple! It does not penetrate as deeply into the skin’s surface layers. It is more like “painting” a design onto your face than having it permanently etched into your skin.
One of the things that I love about it is that the results can last up to two years! Naturally, with proper aftercare and maintenance. If you’re interested in trying it out, let me first list some things you should consider:

Benefits of Microblading

By creating an illusion of fullness, adding definition, and shaping your brows, it enhances your appearance. Resulting in a more youthful look, it boosts confidence and self-esteem. Additionally, it contributes to a more symmetrical appearance, enhancing your overall look. This safe and effective procedure, long utilized by estheticians, involves using a sterile, single-use blade to deposit pigment directly into the skin, mimicking natural hair strokes. Whether you aim to fill in sparse brow areas or refine their shape, it serves as an ideal treatment option. It’s also a good option for people who suffer from alopecia areata or other conditions that cause hair loss in this area.
You’ll need less time to prepare in front of the mirror since you don’t have to worry about creating a perfect brow shape or filling them in every day!
You’ll be able to get out of bed and go without worrying about whether your brows are on point!
The recovery time is minimal; the healing process for microblading is typically short, so you can return to your normal activities soon after the treatment.

How Long Does It Take To Get The Procedure Done?

The process of brow pigmenting takes about two hours and is done in several steps. It begins with a consultation when your artist will measure, color select, and make a style recommendation for your new brows.
Next, the artist will draw on the area using a stencil as a guide this helps ensure that both the left and right brows are symmetrical and balanced. Last, they’ll use the microblade to deposit pigment into the skin one hair at a time. This creates fine strokes that look natural when they heal.

Is It Painful?

I presume you will ask the most important question – does it hurt?
Well, you will be glad to know that they use numbing cream to numb the area around them so you won’t feel any pain during the procedure! The process of brow pigmenting is not painful; it’s very relaxing. As the artist applies the pigment, you may feel a slight stinging or tingling sensation – this is normal and should subside fairly quickly.

What to Expect After Your Microblading Procedure?

The first day after you get your treatment done, your aesthetician will apply a thin layer of ointment to your eyebrows to protect them. You’ll also be given instructions on how to care for your new brow look in the days following treatment.
Try to follow these instructions carefully because they’re there to ensure that your healed results are flawless! You may experience some mild redness and swelling in the days after your treatment, which is completely normal, so don’t worry – it should subside within a few days. During this time, avoid any activities that may irritate the skin of your brow areas.

How Long Does It Last?

The results can last anywhere from one or longer, depending on how well you take care of your brows. They should last longer if you get them done at a salon that uses high-quality products and follows sanitary procedures.

How Do I Take Care of My Microbladed Brow Area?

You should follow these simple guidelines to keep your microbladed brows looking their best.
Don’t touch your brows too much.
Wear sunscreen on your face and around your brows.
Use a gentle cleanser when you cleanse them in the morning and at night.
Don’t scrub too hard when washing, as this can irritate your skin.
Never use harsh exfoliators on your skin.

Who Can Get Microblading Done?

In my opinion, microblading is a great option for anyone with sparse, thin brows, or other skin issues that have caused your brows to thin out over time. I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a technician to see if this technique is a good fit for you. They’ll be able to assess your skin and suggest the best treatment option for you.
Oh, and if you have any concerns about the procedure, be sure to bring them up during your consultation. The technician might recommend a patch test before starting the treatment to ensure you’re not allergic to any ingredients used during the procedure!

The benefits of getting microblading are the incredible transformation it can bring to your eyebrows and the ease with which you can maintain them. If you’re interested in getting this procedure done, I highly recommend AM Aesthetics!
