I have kept quiet for a little bit as I wanted to hold space for all of your feelings. Many of you may feel a heavy weight. One that you might have carried before but hoped not to carry again. That feeling of helplessness, frustration, or fear might be settling in as we hear the news. We see the world shifting in ways we didn’t want or expect. It’s okay to feel this. Every feeling you’re experiencing is valid, and you are not alone. We are in this together. There’s still hope.
In moments like this, it’s easy to feel that our voices don’t matter, that our hard work for progress and change might be erased or pushed aside. But remember, every voice, every protest, every step we’ve taken toward a more equal and inclusive society has brought us further than we were. No election or office can erase the progress that lives within each of us—our determination, our resilience, our ability to rise and fight again. Every conversation we’ve had, every connection we’ve made, has left its mark.
Those things cannot be taken away.
It’s okay if you need to take a step back right now, to feel what you’re feeling and tend to your heart. But know that this is not the end. Together, we have faced so many challenges before, and we’ve shown our strength time and time again. The fight is not over, and we are still here—stronger, wiser, and more united than ever.
Take heart in the community around you, in the quiet acts of kindness and solidarity that carry on each day. These are the foundations of change that endure — the steady flame that keeps us moving forward. When you’re ready, we’ll be here to keep pushing together. We will find ways to make our voices heard and support each other every step of the way.
With love and solidarity,
